HVO-Querido

The Bright8 and HVO-Querido Partnership

HVO-Querido is there for people in vulnerable situations; people who have become homeless, suffer from psychological problems or addiction. The organization offers support and guidance clients experiencing limitations and obstacles, helping them to give new meaning to their lives.

Understand Different Target Groups

HVO-Querido has many different interest groups in vulnerable situations in Amsterdam, and each of these groups has specific needs. Clients and the people around them are looking for various types of help, information and resources. The goal was to create an online platform that serviced all of these groups while providing the most appropriate tool for each individuum.

We took several steps and started off by analyzing the behaviour of current website visitors and by conducting focus groups. This allowed us to evaluate the specific requirements coming from different parts of the organization, as well as to understand the needs of the different target groups. Through this work we gained a deep understanding of all the benefits stakeholders are looking for.

Functional design sitemap

As a next step, we created a functional design sitemap to accommodate this funnel. We paid special attention to functionality, findability and SEO. Our philosophy was to create a two-click journey. After this, we implemented the new creative design, the look and feel, which was based on the new brand ID. This brand ID was developed in parallel, and focused on showcasing the humane, welcoming and accessible faces of the organization. It also provided a connection between the imagery and the specific stakeholders, therefore tying it all together.

Closer to Stakeholders

All-in-all Bright8 created an online presence that brings the organization closer to its stakeholders, both in terms of providing relevant content, as well as making that content more easily accessible by connecting stakeholders to contact points within the organization. More than continuing to update the website, Bright8 is involved in consulting the HVO-Querido team in learning to better understand who their stakeholders are, how they can best use the website and how to service their stakeholders’ changing needs.
